I am an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana (Enrolment No. PH/9616/2023), practising exclusively in non-litigation legal advisory, drafting, and consultation under Indian law.
My practice covers three areas: cyber law and data protection, corporate and commercial law, and inheritance, wills, and estate planning.
15 Years in Technology Before Law
Before entering legal practice, I spent fifteen years in the information technology sector, focusing on digital infrastructure, systems architecture, and environments where regulatory compliance was integral to daily operations. I worked directly with systems now central to India’s key legal and regulatory developments, including data processing pipelines, access control frameworks, digital transaction systems, and technology-driven compliance operations.
This experience is central to my legal practice.
Cyber law and data protection, which are now the core of my practice, require both legal interpretation and technical expertise. The DPDP Act, 2023, and the DPDP Rules, 2025, set requirements for collecting, storing, securing, and processing personal data. Advising businesses on these obligations without understanding their systems can result in advice that is legally accurate but impractical. My background bridges this gap.
The same principle applies to corporate compliance for technology-driven businesses, where company law, data regulation, and contractual risk intersect. Effective guidance requires understanding both the legal framework and the operational realities it governs.
Nature of Legal Practice
My practice is exclusively non-litigation. I do not appear in court. My work is limited to the following:
- Legal advisory: analysis of legal positions, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements
- Drafting: contracts, agreements, compliance documentation, privacy notices, wills, and legal correspondence
- Consultation: structured discussion of legal matters, risks, and compliance obligations
All work is undertaken strictly in accordance with the rules governing advocates in India, including the Bar Council of India Rules, 1975.

Legal advisory on cybercrime matters, including UPI fraud, bank account freezes, online harassment, and digital fraud, as well as data protection obligations under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the DPDP Rules, 2025. This includes compliance advisory for businesses and startups navigating the DPDP Act’s phased implementation, with full obligations effective by May 13, 2027.
